D1293 Brake Pads

The brake pads look very simple. A layer of friction material, a layer of iron, this is what we see. Is this really true? Sometimes the eyes don’t necessarily see all. In fact, a high-quality brake pad, whose structure is layered, each layer plays an indispensable role.

　　1, insulation

　　During the braking process of the vehicle, due to the high-speed friction between the brake pad and the brake disc, a large amount of heat is generated instantaneously. If the heat is directly transmitted to the metal back plate of the brake pad, the brake cylinder may be overheated, which may cause serious damage. The hydraulic fluid produces a gas barrier. Therefore, there is a layer of thermal insulation between the friction material and the metal backing plate. After high temperature and high pressure ablation, Zhongli'an brake pads will shorten the running-in period of the new brake pads and the original brake discs, and effectively isolate the brake high temperature, thus maintaining a stable brake safety distance and brake comfort.

　　2, friction material

　　The friction material is undoubtedly the core part of the entire brake pad, and the friction material formulation directly affects the braking performance and braking comfort of the friction plate (with or without noise and vibration). At present, friction materials are mainly classified into three types according to the formula: semi-metal materials, NAO materials (non-asbestos organic materials) and ceramic materials.
