Method for changing the mileage of hybrid brake pads to zero

The way the vehicle replaces the hybrid brake pads is roughly the same, but some vehicles are equipped with brake pad alarm lines. When the brake pads of the vehicle wear out to a certain extent, the hybrid brake pad replacement indicator lights up. At this time, the brake pads need to be replaced. After the hybrid brake pads are replaced, some of the warning lights on the instrument panel do not disappear. It performs a zeroing operation.

Taking the old BMW 7 Series as an example, we first insert the ignition key, do not step on the brake pedal, press the START/STOPENGINE button on the left side of the ignition key. Then press and hold the zero button on the upper left of the meter, release it after about 7~8s, and the LCD display on the upper left of the meter will display: RETURN. Next press the zero button, select R.BRAKE40TKM, then press and hold the zero button until “RETURNRESETR.BRAKE” is displayed on the upper right area of the meter. Press the zero button again. Select “RESETR.BRAKE” and press and hold the zero button again and hold it until the display shows R.BRAKERESETOK, and the brake alarm light return to zero is completed. Finally, when it is started again, the meter will instantly display “40,000km after-sales service”. This completes all operations.

Car brake problem

At present, the size of the friction block of the same type of brake pad is inconsistent among the domestic manufacturers, especially the width of the friction block, and the dimensional deviation between the manufacturers can reach up to three millimeters. This results in a smooth surface of the brake disc, but a large-sized brake pad can also sound if it is attached to a brake disc that has a small brake pad. In case of abnormal noise in the vehicle brakes, first analyze the situation and then check to determine the cause of the problem. Do not blindly replace the accessories.

Remove the original hybrid brake pad and replace it with a new brake pad. According to the actual situation, the original brake pad has a chance of scratching the original brake disc of more than 50%. First, because it is the original car, and secondly, it is only scratched and does not sound, so 90% of the repair shop and the driver I don't believe that the original brake pads are damaged, so when I replace the new brake pads, I don't actively check whether the brake discs have scratches. When I check the new ones, I will check the brake discs. If the surface of the brake disc is flat, but a new brake pad is installed. It may be that the repairman has biased the hybrid brake pads. When removed, you can see that the surface of the brake pads is only partially scratched.

When the brake is maintained, if the height of the pedal slowly drops, the possible cause is: a certain part of the brake pipe is broken, the joint is poorly sealed, the master pump or the cylinder piston is poorly sealed, and the oil return valve and the oil discharge valve are defective. Solution: First step on the brake pedal to observe the presence of brake fluid leakage. If the outside is normal, check the sub-pump or master cylinder fault. When the brakes are continuously applied for several legs, the height of the pedal is slightly increased and the elasticity is felt, indicating that air is infiltrated into the brake pipe.
