Some problems with the brake pads
The installation of the brakes of the car is not only put into the brake calipers, but the quality of the brake pads needs to be checked first. Secondly, the relevant accessories need to be checked during installation and after installation. Do not select or install the brake pads. Improper damage to the vehicle's braking performance.
Check the quality of the brake pads first. The crack on the surface is mainly caused by the brake pad being pressed and unable to slide in the caliper. It is necessary to maintain, clean, and lubricate the caliper piston path while replacing the brake pads. If oil is present, this may be caused by improper placement or improper operation of the brake pads. In this case, check the surface of the brake disc for oil. The oil on the surface of the disc needs to be cleaned together and the brake pads replaced.
Secondly, look at the other related parts of the brake system. If you find that the corners of the brake pads are white and slag, it is usually because of the poor return of the brake cylinder, the long-term dragging of the brake pads or the parking system failure. Caused. At this point we need to clean and lubricate the brake guide pin and the brake cylinder. If the brake guide pin or brake cylinder is damaged, it should be replaced. Clean the brake disc or replace the brake pad as appropriate.
Brake sheet "heat" problem
Different types of automobile brake discs will inevitably oscillate along the wheel axis after being mounted on the wheel. This phenomenon is somewhat similar to the fact that the wheel hub is not balanced after installation, and the wheels rotate and swing from side to side. Once the swing phenomenon occurs, the inner and outer brake pads generate a great reaction force, which affects the braking effect. In severe cases, the wheel shakes, especially when the brake system is overheated, this phenomenon becomes more and more obvious.
The brake system of the car is caused by friction to stop the car, so no matter what kind of brake system, there is friction and overheating. For the mainstream disc brakes, "heat" not only causes the brake performance to attenuate, but also causes many problems such as overheating and expansion of the brake disc. Therefore, whether it is competition or modification, we generally choose perforated and scribing ventilation. The brake disc, through this ventilation design and a larger area of the brake disc to improve the heat dissipation performance during braking.
Brake pad installation precautions
When we perform the self-test of the brake pads, the brake pads of the four wheels may be worn differently. Even if some can continue to be used, we need to replace them in time. Replacement of the brake pads requires replacement. For example, one of the brake pads is very worn, but the other is normal wear. When replacing, the other brake pads must be replaced together, and the faults must be checked.
The first is to buy brake pads, to check whether the brake pads purchased are produced by regular manufacturers, that is, the integrity of the product packaging, anti-counterfeiting marks, product models and product certification. The second is the installation. Before lifting the vehicle, first open the cover containing the brake oil and loosen the tire screws diagonally. When using a simple jack support, the jack should be supported and the wheels that do not replace the brake pads should be reinforced. After removing the tire, loosen the fastening screws of the brake caliper, and check the screws and caliper sliding guides to remove the dirt and oil on the top and clean the oil. Remove the old brake pads and check the wear level of the brake discs. After confirming, install the new brake pads.
