Advantages of ceramic disc brake pads:


(1) The biggest difference between ceramic brake pads and traditional brake pads is that there is no metal. The metal in the conventional brake pad is a material that is intensified in friction, and has a large braking force, but is worn out and is prone to noise. After the ceramic brake pads are assembled, abnormal squeaking (ie, squeaking) does not occur during abnormal driving. Because the ceramic brake pads do not contain metal, it avoids the metal squeaking of the traditional metal brake pads and the dual parts (ie, the brake pads and the brake discs).


(2) A firm friction coefficient. The friction coefficient is the most stressful performance of any friction material, and the braking ability of the coherent brake pads is good or bad. During the braking process, heat is generated due to friction, and the working temperature is increased. The friction material of the same ordinary brake pad is affected by the temperature, and the friction coefficient starts to decrease. In practical applications, the friction will be low, which will reduce the brake dip. Ordinary brake pads are not mature in friction materials, and the friction coefficient is too high, which constitutes an unsafe condition such as out of control of the braking process, burning of the film, and scratching of the brake disc. Even if the temperature of the brake disc reaches 650 degrees, the friction coefficient of the ceramic brake pad is still 0.45-0.55, which can guarantee the vehicle has good braking performance.


(3) Ceramics have good heat fastness, low thermal conductivity and good wear resistance. The long-term application temperature is 1000 degrees. This feature makes ceramics suitable for the high performance of various high-performance brake materials, and can meet the technical requirements of high speed, safety and high wear resistance of brake pads.


(4) It has good mechanical strength and physical properties. Can withstand large pressure and shear forces. In the assembly application, the friction material products need to finish machining such as drilling and assembly, and the ability is made into a brake pad assembly. Therefore, the friction material must be sufficiently mechanically strong to ensure that no damage or breakage occurs during the processing or application process.


(5) has a very low thermal decay. Regardless of the first-generation ceramic products of M09 and the fourth-generation ceramic brake pads of TD58, the vehicle can still guarantee good braking performance to ensure safety, and the thermal attenuation of the brake pads is small.


(6) Improve the performance of the brake pads. Due to the fast heat dissipation of the ceramic material, in the manufacture of the brake, the friction coefficient is higher than the friction coefficient of the metal brake pad.
